So, some of you may be familiar with this story...
Mark 5: 25-30 - "A woman in the crowd had suffered for twelve years with constant bleeding. She had suffered a great deal from many doctors, and over the years she had spent everything she had to pay them, but she had gotten no better. In fact, she had gotten worse. She had heard about Jesus, so she came up behind him through the crowd and touched his robe. For she thought to herself, “If I can just touch his robe, I will be healed.” Immediately the bleeding stopped, and she could feel in her body that she had been healed of her terrible condition. Jesus realized at once that healing power had gone out from him, so he turned around in the crowd and asked, “Who touched my robe?”
And he said to her, “Daughter, your faith has made you well. Go in peace. Your suffering is over.” - Mark 5:34 NLT
This lady had been suffering for 12 years. She spent everything she had on doctors. Instead of getting better, she got worse. Some would have accepted their fate and given up at this point. Instead, when she heard Jesus was coming to town, she said to herself "if I can just touch his robe, I will be healed". Her mission wasn't even to talk to Him or ask Him for help. She had so much faith in His power that she believed she could be healed just from coming in contact with Him. Not even Him directly, but His clothes! Sounds crazy. But, because of her faith, it worked! She was healed!
Her story is a great reminder to never give up. Even if your situation seems hopeless, your faith can get you through anything. It also shows how powerful Jesus is. I mean, He was out here healing people with His clothes. How cool is that??
